Rules & Regs
These rules apply to any series run by Old Pueblo Racing(OPR). A series may overwrite, change, or add to these rules. Please ensure you check the relevant series for any potential changes to the rules.
Section 01: Communication and Community
OPR is dedicated to creating a community for competitive and friendly racing.
01.01 – OPR is open to anyone, and targeted harassment of any kind to any individual or group is prohibited.
01.02 – Disrespectful behaviour, intended to provoke or offend others, is prohibited.
01.03 – While racing, in-game communication should be focused on important information. While friendly comments are welcome, conversations should be kept to a minimum, and any negativity or toxicity is strictly prohibited.
Section 02: General
02.01 – The use of any glitches, external tools, cheats, and exploits to gain an unfair advantage will result in immediate removal from the community.
02.02 – If it is deemed reasonably possible that a member has used cheats or exploits of any kind, the suspected member will be put on a probationary period until released by the stewards. This probationary period will allow stewards to request any telemetry data from any league event. If the member is unable to provide data, they will be removed from the community for a minimum of 30 days. Repeated instances will result in permanent removal.
02.03 – Custom liveries must be deemed stream-friendly by the stewards. If asked to change your livery by the league administrators, you will not be able to run until the livery is corrected.
02.04 – All series in OPR must allow free entry. (Full-Time) Drivers who pay to enter a series must be given priority over free (part-time) drivers. No series shall allow more paid entries than spots on the grid at any given race. Part-time drivers’ winnings may be reduced compared to those of full-time drivers.
02.05 – Unless specified by series rules, Teams must operate in the following manner.
– Teams are limited to two seats
– Both seats require a registered “Full-Time” driver.
– Backup Drivers can be “Part-Time” drivers.
– Backup Drivers will gain points in a series for the team and their individual standings.
– An organization may enter more than one team(e.g, Red Bull, Alpha Tauri)
– When an organization enters more than one team, they are expected to behave as competitors. (e.g, Red Bull should not give team orders to Alpha Tauri to swap positions of a Red Bull driver and an Alpha Tauri driver)
02.06 – Driver numbers can be reserved for individual series within the league, but all series must observe the following rules for driver numbers.
– Reservable numbers are 2 – 200
– #1 is only available for the series’s previous champion.
– “Full-Time Drivers” numbers must be a number 2-99
– “Part-Time Drivers” numbers must be a number 100-200
– Teams may reserve as many numbers as they have cars in a given series.
Section 03: Driving Standards
03.01 – Respect track limits; any repeated abuse of track limits or game limitations in automatic stewarding may result in penalty points or removal from the league.
03.02 – All overtaking must be done with caution, and room should be left to not push others off track.
03.03 – Defending should not be erratic, no weaving, blocking, or any other behavior that can cause an unnecessary wreck.
03.04 – Rubbing is racing, close racing door banging is okay within reason, and an effort to maintain a clean competitive race should be a priority. Any driver deemed not to respect the wish for clean and competitive racing can be removed from the league by the stewards.
Section 04: Stewards & Race Control
04.01 – Race control and stewards can choose to review any incident at any time during or post-race.
04.02 – An investigation must consist of at least two separate stewards not involved in the incident or connected to individuals in the incident. If it is difficult to find a steward that can reasonably be deemed unbiased, members from the community may be asked to step in as stewards for a case.
04.03 – Once an investigation into an incident has started, staff must reach out and inform all parties involved in the incident that an investigation is taking place.
04.03 – All parties must be given some time to respond and give their perspective on the given incident. If no response is given within 24 hours, an individual has waived their right for input into a case.
04.04 – All drivers or teams may start an investigation by filing a ticket either on Discord or by emailing stewards@oldpuebloracing.com. This will start an investigation that will follow the rules of this section, with the exception that the investigation will start in a discovery phase, where staff may choose to reject the protest without further investigation.
